The end of summer always comes too quickly. With school starting in a couple of weeks one last visit to the farm was a must. Read on to check out our first cotton blossoms of the season and my outfit picks for summer in South Willow.
Road Trip
After prepping my classroom for three days I decided to head to the farm for the last weekend of summer. Our first stop upon arrival was the tiny little post office and I finally got a picture of their hydrangeas against the pretty blue walls. I attached my white puff sleeve top, a pearl headband, and my makeup below. Click the pictures to shop my affiliate links.
Cotton Blossoms
The first thing I noticed as we pulled in were the beautiful cotton blossoms. The crops have gone from about a foot high in June (shown below) to shoulder height in August. I can’t wait to see them turn into fields of white fluffy cotton in the fall.
BBQ Biscuit Buffet
Dinner didn’t disappoint with BBQ from Coopers Country Store, fresh corn on the cob, twice baked potatoes, boiled peanuts, and watermelon or cherry pie for dessert. Check out the recipes and more @ButterbeansandBows on my sisters Instagram. After dinner we spruced up the cabins, popped open some champagne, and I took some pictures of my moms paintings. This is one of my favorites.
Vintage Finds
The next morning Boo and I spruced up the little cabin and found some old Red Rider BB’s. Do they even sell these anymore? I seriously think these came from Santa in the 90’s.
Summer Outfits
